The two doors enclosing a spacious shelving area are supported on a plinth base. The vanity is the height of the Empire style and has considerable historicist charm. It shows the influence of both Napoleon and his love of Egyptian motif. The Egyptian influence is evident in the full expertly hand-carved, gilded and polished caryatid supports that flank each door. In addition to the caryatids, Acajou can be commissioned upon request to source highly decorative French bronze mounts to drape the cupboard doors and to create an impression of richer opulence and rarer individuality. The Ajaccio vanity is made to order and is supplied complete with its own uniquely designed marble top and undermount ceramic basin.
